In 2021, DD founded the Blue Balloon Foundation for Autism and was awarded “The Nike Community Impact Fund.”
Hi, I’m Dangerous Donna
Nationally acclaimed personal trainer and physical fitness model
My mission is to spread the message that there are simple, efficient and effective techniques everyone can use that can truly change your life.
Having helped my clients, including celebrities’, CEOs, athletes and military personnel for over 25 years, I created physical fitness training techniques that are available to everyone.
My passion for fitness and training was sparked upon moving from New Jersey to South Florida and observing the life guard group training through their morning workout at the beach. I watched them do their running up and down the beach and aspired to participate and with practice I eventually did. Then I learned how to weight train. Friends told me about a Weight Lifting Federation Coach that operated a no-frills, serious training facility in Ft. Lauderdale. I stood at their front desk asking to sign up and was told “no women train here.” I paused in thought and then asked, “Can I be your first one?” That is how this all began and they allowed me only one month of membership because they said I would quit. Dangerous Donna never quits. I have many, many other great stories to tell you, however, only a book can hold all those…. “Once Upon a Time, there was a Dangerous Donna.”
I am a being of movement; I am amazed by the human body and fascinated by what our bodies can do if given a chance. I devotedly train and encourage others because I know through experience of many years, what others can actually accomplish if shown the way.
My interests are entrepreneurship and business development. My hobbies are my horses Tango and Starlet, sailing and hiking big mountains. My buddies are my dogs Dallas and Ghost. Starlet is a rescue and Ghost is too. I have a rescue cat, Gretal, that lives at the gym and expects treats from clients.
“FIND YOUR GIFT AND BE EXCELLENT AT IT”
I have been an employee at many corporations and a Realtor and a Cosmetologist. I also once was a peanut selling girl at Miami Dolphins stadium; I took someone up on a dare. Ok, lets get back to bound and determined. My mentor, the Weight Lifting Federation Coach, observed my dedication to training and coached me on going back to a specific university, to specific exercise science courses and to a specific, forefront professor. I did. I passed the American College of Sports Medicine national exam and I became one of the very first Personal Trainers in the nation. Wow, that seems ancient; see what fitness does for you and I.
“THAT IS WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED”
I created my first company “Dangerous Curves” then resigned from FedEx and became a mobile Fitness Consultant. I quickly gained a reputation for provoking rapid change in people. Soon I had a thriving practice with a waiting list of clients desperate to work with me. I expanded into several trainers coaching with my company and then I built my own training facility. From there, my career blossomed and offered me a variety of various opportunities. I was invited to speak at business engagements radio stations, news shows, newspapers and I appeared in many magazines as an expert Personal Trainer. I will always remember walking through an airport with my son of about 8 years of age to board a flight and he points to a magazine rack and says, ”Look Mommy; its you!”
“YOUR LIFE HAS PURPOSE WHEN YOU SET YOUR MIND”
I have developed “Fusion Training” the movement and foundational methods used from my clients’ successes. I asked magazines and newspapers to cover my client’s transformations and accomplishment to share and teach the message that believing in ourselves is the core underlying answer to everything. I truly have confidence in your ability to transform.
DANGEROUS DONNA HAS NOW EXPANDED NATIONWIDE INTO “VIRTUAL FITNESS COACHING.”
